CBD, CBN and the Science of Sleep

At Allitom, we are very proud of our innovative product line. We've done quite a bit of research into the therapeutic use of cannabis science to help with all kinds of personal needs and supplements for lifestyle changes. Knowing more about this kind of product can help you figure out whether it should be part of your daily routine.

CBD and CBN

Most of us are familiar with CBD now. CBD oils are everywhere, even at your local convenience store.

We’ve heard about how CBD can be used for anxiety, and how it has some calming effects, while not being psychoactive in the way that THC is. In other words, CBD is not a drug that you take to escape reality. Instead, it's a supplement that may help specific types of conditions.

CBN is only slightly different. It's a different element of the cannabis compound, and it provides a sedative effect. CBN is specifically helpful for better sleep. We've been looking into this, and that's why we included in some of our CBD products.

A Little Help

Millions of Americans need a little help with their sleep patterns.

For many people, it stems from stress--like stress at work. Other people have sleep disruptions due to their smartphone technology use, either throughout the day or at night, right before they go to sleep. Poor diet or excessive night-time eating can also have an impact. Anxiety can keep people awake at night–that’s an obvious one and is part of many sleep deficit diagnoses.

Some people take pharmaceutical sleep aids to get a restful night of sleep, but this is often a difficult trade-off. Generally, we don't want to over-medicate people with prescription drugs. The idea is that people need a little extra help to nod off into oblivion for the entire night. So CBN can be a way to do that naturally without involving big Pharma.
